My deck has a few boards that are rotting and I wasn’t sure how serious it was so I looked for a deck repair company. Best-Rate answered my call and had me booked for an estimate the next day. Benny arrived on time. We walked above and underneath my decks and Benny commented on the way my deck was built and the condition it is in. After looking around, Benny told me that my deck was actually in great condition and that the few boards that were in rough shape could be handled DIY.
Benny gave me a quick crash course in how to replace the rotting boards myself and then offered his card so that if I needed any more guidance I could call him. I really appreciate all the guidance and most importantly the honesty.

There was a cost overrun based on rotten wood they uncovered midway through the project (I sort of expected they would find this) and they were great at talking me through the various options for fixing the issues.
I don’t feel like they were gouging me at all on the overrun cost. Even with the overrun they were less than my more expensive bid for the project. I started this project just wanting a “repaired” deck and what I ended up with is a showpiece that makes the rest of my house look dated!
